Started running in 1990 with goal of running one St. George Marathon, after watching Mark Nelson run his 1st marathon, to see why a person would want to run 26.2 miles. That was all it took to hook me I will be running my 19th St. George this year. My PR is 3:30 in 1999. I still have a goal to qualify for Boston before I am dead.

Ran at THS track with Paul and Kent.

They did speed work, 1/2 mile repeats,

I have had a hurt hamstring for about 3 weeks and was running to check it out, see if it is healed.

I just ran without stopping at the half mile to keep the legs moving, when I did stop and start up again, the hamstring  had a little pain, not like the previous attempts to test it. I then walked with a little running to keep from straining it again.

I forgot to take note, I have been on the HCG diet for a week now, 500 calories a day, so I wanted to see if I had the strength to run at all. I have lost 10 lbs in 7 days, goal is 30 lbs. That should make running a lot easier.

Time to start blogging all those runs you are going on, Larry!

I'll see you at the starting line at St. George this year.
